Using Lawboss as a Team: How Shared Credits, Case Sharing and Member Management Work for Up to 5 People

The Lawboss Team plan shares credits across up to 5 accounts. How members join, how cases are shared, how credits are counted, and who the plan suits.

Legal work is rarely a one-person job. HR handles complaints, administration owns contracts, finance calculates severance, and the owner reviews major decisions. If everyone opens their own account and subscribes separately, the cost is duplicated and cases and records end up scattered across different people.

The Lawboss Team plan is designed for exactly this: one team, up to 5 accounts, one shared credit allowance, and cases that can be shared with teammates to view or edit together.

This article explains how the Team plan works, how members join, how cases and credits are managed, and when it is the right choice.

What the Team plan includes

ItemDetails
PriceMonthly NT$6,000 per month; annual NT$60,000 per year (equal to two months free)
AccountsUp to 5, including the owner
AI conversation credits2,500 per month, shared by the whole team
Case collaborationShare with the team to view or co-edit
Member managementAdd by email, or by invitation link
Annual bonus1 hour of consultation with a human lawyer, counted per team and splittable into 2 × 30 minutes

The Team plan has the same features as the individual Professional plan: the five compliance modules, the document drafting workspace, ad compliance review and case management are all included. The difference is "multiple people" and "shared."

What "shared credits" means

This is the easiest part to misread, so to be clear: the 2,500 monthly credits are one allowance shared by the whole team, not 2,500 for each person.

Each question to the AI uses 1 credit, deducted from the same allowance no matter which member asks. It resets each month on the subscription date.

This has a practical consequence:

  • If members ask at roughly the same rate, each has about 500 credits to use on average.
  • If one member uses it heavily, that member can use more, and the others' share shrinks accordingly.

If someone on the team uses it far more than the rest, estimate the team's total monthly questions first, then decide whether to add credit packs.

How members join

The plan is managed by the owner, who pays. Members can join in two ways:

Option 1: enter the member's email. The owner types in the person's email. After the person signs in with that email and accepts the invitation, they join. This suits cases where you already know the member's email.

Option 2: generate an invitation link. The link is valid for 7 days and can be used by multiple members. This suits inviting several people at once, such as posting one link in a group chat for colleagues to click.

Neither way requires members to pay. Once they join, they use the team's credits and features.

A few rules to know about joining:

  • Joining always needs the person's own consent. Members are not merged into a team just by signing in. They have to accept.
  • Anyone with a personal paid subscription must cancel it before joining, to avoid paying twice.
  • Pending invitations also take up seats. The 5 seats cover joined members plus unexpired invitations, so once they are full no new invitation can be sent.

How cases are shared and worked on together

By default, a case can be seen only by the person who created it. The creator can choose to share it with the team and decide what permission teammates get:

  • View: Members can see the case content and progress but cannot change it.
  • Co-edit: Members can work on the case and edit documents together.

This matches common divisions of legal work, for example:

  • HR handles a sexual harassment complaint and shares it with a manager to view, so the manager can follow progress while unrelated colleagues cannot see the content.
  • Administration drafts a contract and shares it with finance and sales to co-edit, confirming payment and delivery terms together.
  • The owner does not handle matters day to day but needs to see the case record at key moments.

Cases are private by default, which matters: sensitive content such as complaints and disputes is not automatically visible to everyone just because they joined the team.

Also, if the owner's Team plan expires or the subscription stops, the team and its sharing settings remain, but members return to their own individual entitlements and cases previously shared with them become read-only.

When a member leaves the team

A member who leaves returns to an individual plan. The cases they created still belong to them, but are no longer shared with the team.

This is also a reminder for owners: if an important case was created by a member, confirm before that person leaves whether it needs to be handed over or saved separately. The owner cannot leave their own team. If the Team plan is no longer needed, cancel the subscription.

What if credits run out

When the Team plan's monthly credits are used up, the owner can add credit packs, which the whole team shares:

Credit packPrice
100 creditsNT$300
500 creditsNT$1,400
1,000 creditsNT$2,700

How credit packs work:

  • They start being used only after the monthly allowance runs out.
  • They do not reset monthly, and are valid for 1 year from purchase.
  • Only active subscribers can buy them. They are paused when the subscription ends and resume if you resubscribe, with the expiry date unchanged.

Who the Team plan suits

Consider the Team plan when:

  • Two or more people handle legal matters together. Two monthly Professional plans cost NT$6,000 in total for just 2 accounts and 2,000 credits. The Team plan costs the same NT$6,000 for up to 5 accounts and 2,500 credits, and lets you share cases.
  • Different roles such as HR, administration and finance need to collaborate. Case sharing and edit permissions make the division of work clearer.
  • An owner or manager needs to follow progress. They can check at any time without handling the work themselves.

The individual Professional plan may suit you better when:

  • Only one person uses the legal features and there is no need to share cases.

If your team has more than 5 people, or you need a dedicated company database, onboarding or training, email support@lawboss.com.tw to ask about a custom plan. We quote based on your actual situation.

Upgrading from the Professional plan to the Team plan

An upgrade takes effect immediately. The unused days of your current period are credited against the new plan by day, based on what you actually paid, and the new plan starts counting from the day you upgrade.

In the other direction, downgrading from Team to Professional is not refunded. You can schedule it under subscription management: the current plan runs until the end of the period, and from the next charge it switches automatically to the new plan, with no need to re-bind a card. You can also cancel the scheduled change before it takes effect.

FAQ

Do members each have to pay?

No. The owner pays for the subscription, and members use the team's credits and features once they join. If a member already has a personal paid subscription, they need to cancel it before joining the team.

Can teammates see all my cases?

No. By default only the creator can see a case. Teammates can view or edit it only if the creator shares it.

How does the annual lawyer consultation work?

The annual Team plan also includes 1 hour of consultation with a human lawyer. It is counted per team, shared by the whole team, and can be split into 2 × 30 minutes.

Can I try it first?

Yes. Each new account receives 50 AI conversation credits on activation, usable within 7 days, with no credit card required. We suggest trying it with an individual account first to confirm it fits your needs, then deciding whether to upgrade to the Team plan.

Closing

Good legal work comes from division of labor and records, not from one person's memory. The Team plan lets several people use the same tools, the same allowance and the same set of cases, and puts legal work into the team's daily routine without compromising privacy.
